| What does Dream Brasil offer that other tourist agencies don't? |
Dream Brasil ALWAYS offers to its clients the world’s cheapest accommodation packages in Brazil, plus many other free informations and tips for you to enjoy the very best of each brazilian destination we operate in. |
On customer’s requests we can also customize any package to best suit our client’s needs by filling it with all the most important tourist, cultural and social spots that together form the history, background, past and present of that brazilian destination. |
We achieve this by maximalizing each moment of the day, and by employing the best local guides that knows better what to show you and how to explain it to you, so you can be sure that you won't miss anything worth to be seen. |
Unless all other tourist companies that only focus on the top main sightseeing tourist places and just sell the touristic Brazil and then that's it, our main goal is to help all our clients to best know and understand the REAL Brazil (which is very different from the postcard-like tourist circuit), the truest one brazilian people live daily, so when you will be back home you can be able to say that you have lived your holiday at the very best almost like a brazilian native! That’s why we also focus on off the beaten tracks destinations ignored by almost other tour operators. |
Therefore whenever you are a single looking for fun, good time and plenty of “action”, or a couple interested in romantic itineraries, or a family that wants to enjoy quiet safe places and lots of culture too, all our packages are especially tailored to best suit your needs, and can also be upgrated and customized even daily while you are already vacationing here, as we offer different programs depending by what you want to focus on. |
| What does your packages include? |
Our no frills standard packages usually include: transfer in/out from airports to the hotel plus accommodation as described in each package, a briefing on safety and other issues and our surprise souvenir gift. Our all inclusive packages instead consist of: airfare or coach transportation inside Brazil, transfer in/out from airports to apartments/hotels plus accomodation, 24 hour on-site English speaking staff to help and assist our clients with all their needs, transportation to all the sightseeing, cultural, historic and nightlife places with professional English-speaking guides, a briefing on safety and other issues and our surprise souvenir gift. Each package can be upgrated and customized at extra charge to best meet all your needs. |
| Do Dream Brasil offer airfare to Brazil? |
No. All our Dream Brasil holiday packages doesn’t include airfare (that we can sell separately but only inside Brazil), which means that our clients will have to purchase their round trip fly tickets to Brazil. To help you find the best deals please check our Cheapest Flights page that is constantly updated with links to sites that offers the cheapest airline tickets worldwide to Brazil |
| Will there be staff available in Brazil? |
Yes. If you will purchase one of our all inclusive packages Dream Brasil will have a 24 hour on-site English speaking staff to assist and help you with anything you may need while on your vacation. That is a huge reason why many travelers, many who have already been to Brazil a few times, still travel with us, because we will take care of everything and let you relax and enjoy your holiday. |
| What kind of nightlife is included in the packages? |
Our all inclusive packages includes access to the best local nightlife spots, most of which are usually frequented only by brazilians and ignored by tourists: these places range from the most exclusive and trendiest clubs to upscale lounges and popular bars, plus concerts of popular brazilian artists, street parties, as well as special events, and anything else happening during our clients stay that otherwise they might probably not be aware of. |
| Can sightseeing and nightlife tours be purchased separately with standard packages? |
Yes. We also offer the option to our clients that purchased no frills standard packages (transfer in/out & accommodation only) to buy separately any available sightseeing, cultural, historic and nightlife tour not included in our standard packages. This way tourists can best built their vacation according to their needs. Purchases can be even made daily while clients are already vacationing to be fitted in our all inclusive packages schedule. |
| Can I find the nightlife hotspots myself? |
It's difficult as most nightlife places that we will take you to are exclusively frequented by local brazilians, are typically not very accessible to tourists and non-Portuguese speakers and are located away from typical tourist circuits. Also nightlife in Brazil changes drastically from one week to the next. That is why many clients travel with us, because they know that we are always “on top” of where to go. |
| Are free drinks included in the nightlife tours? |
Yes and Not. Because whenever we will take our clients to any club, bar, party, etc two free drinks will always be included in the entrance fee, after that anyother extra drink will have to be purchased separately, also because in Brazil usually there is not a “open bar” policy. |

| Is it safe to travel to Brazil? |
Yes. Foreign tourists can see in Brazil a safe destination. The country does not present any threat caused by terrorism attacks or religious conflicts like in many other places worldwide, and it is free of epidemic or sanitary diseases that plagues other developing countries. Violence is normally restricted to the periferic poor areas of the biggest cities such as Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, while instead smaller cities and particularly the ecological destinations we offer have very low to near zero rates of crime, even when comparing it to other poorest countries worldwide. |
Of course like any other developing nation Brazil has its share of problems. Unfortunately the country has had a lot of negative publicity regarding safety issues in the past. Although there have been incidents concerning tourists (mostly pick pocketing) most of these have occurred in situations where people were not following common sense (much like the types of crimes that occur anywhere else worldwide). Examples include: walking alone in an dark street in the middle of the night, wandering into unknown or bad neighborhoods, etc. Dream Brasil will give to all travelers a briefing on safety and other issues before departure, and our staff will be available in Brazil 24 hours a day 7 days a week for any questions or concerns. If you have additional concerns, please call our office or contact us. Also check our very detailed Travel Tips page. |
| Is it safe for single women to travel to Brazil? |
Machismo is alive and well in Brazil, but it's a kinder, gentler machismo than in other parts of Latin America. Single women - even a few women traveling together - will undoubtedly attract masculine attention. There are upsides to this. It's usually fairly harmless and can sometimes lead to some fun conversations. It seems that brazilian men have an insurmountable urge to flirt, perhaps because flirting is such a way of life, so they take rejection well. Indeed the object of the exercise lies mostly in the act of flirtation itself - actually making a conquest appears to be not terribly important. |
Wearing a wedding ring (fake or real) will throw up only the flimsiest of barriers; it will be either completely ignored or solicit questions such as "how married are you?" or "what kind of husband would let you out of his sight?". However if you are not interested just say so or walk away if necessary and that is usually enough. The downside is that it's difficult for a woman to go out for a drink by herself and not receive attention. If you're not comfortable with this you may want to form up a mixed group with other travelers or else stick to higher-end restaurants or hotel bars. Always use common sense to avoid situations where you may find yourself alone with someone giving you unwanted attention. At night taking a taxi is safer than walking by yourself. |
| Is Brazil a family-friendly tourist destination? |
Yes. In Brazil family bonds are generally more strengthened than in the rest of the world as the country and its society are founded on family values. Brazilians love kids and they will go out of their way to please children, yours and everyone else's. In fact you will see children out and about a lot more than in North America or Europe, even at restaurants, bars, or late-night events. Perhaps because brazilian children are used to going out a lot more, they seem to always behave very well in public, playing with other kids or amusing themselves, with few of the hissy fits that sometimes accompany evenings out with youngsters. Therefore traveling with children is a wonderful way to meet brazilians, as people will be very receptive, friendly, and inquisitive. |
| Is Brazil a friendly tourist destination for elder travelers? |
| Yes. Brazilians treats its elderly well; seniors often live with their family and are treated with respect and affection. |
| Are Gays and Lesbians generally tolerated in Brazil? |
Yes. Gay and lesbian travelers will find small but vibrant gay communities in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, and some of the other big cities, more often geared towards men than women. However public displays of affection are not common among gays and lesbians even in the cities, and in small towns and communities the level of acceptance is significantly lower; then rude remarks and jokes are almost guaranteed, though physical violence is thankfully rare. |
| Do you recommend purchasing a travel insurance? |
Absolutely. Because the majority of health care plans will not cover you in the event of an illness or accident, we strongly recommend purchasing our travel insurance. Additionally travel insurance can offer you other benefits such as trip cancellation insurance, and lost baggage/missed connection benefits. The large majority of our clients purchase insurance because of these benefits and the fact that it is very inexpensive. So before leaving it would be wiser for you to purchase a travel insurance with your local trust insurance company that can best suit your needs. |
| What kind of Currency do they use in Brazil? |
Brazil's currency unit is the Real (symbol R$, plural = Reais) and is made up of 100 centavos. The real is issued in denominations of 1 real (as both a note and a coin), 2 reais, 5 reais, 10 reais, 20 reais, 50 reais and 100 reais (rarely seen or used). Centavos are issued in denominations of 1 centavo (rarely seen or used), 5 centavos, 10 centavos, 25 centavos and 50 centavos. | Is foreign currency accepted in Brazil? |

| Where can I withdraw/exchange money? |
You can access cash at almost any ATM (automatic teller machine) displaying your bank's networks symbols (VISA, Mastercard, etc). Money can also be exchanged at most hotel front desks. (although the exchange rate is typically better at ATMs) |
| What are prices like in Brazil ? How much money should I take? |
Prices in Brazil are very reasonable as costs are much lower than in Europe, North America, the Caribbean, Oceania and Japan. For an updated Price Guide please check our very detailed Travel Tips page. |
| What language(s) are spoken in Brazil? |
Brazil's national language is Brazilian-Portuguese. It is very similar to Spanish and you will find that if you have taken some Spanish classes or are fluent you can get by very well. If you don't know Spanish don't worry anyway. |
| How widely spoken is English? |
English is not as widely spoken in Brazil as it is in other countries that are used to american tourists, although most hotel employees and tourist locations do have English speakers on staff. The absence of English being spoken “everywhere” is not a bad thing, however, as brazilians are very friendly people and truly like English-speaking tourists so you can get by. It is however a good idea to learn a few phrases of Brazilian-Portuguese before your trip as it will be uselful and greatly appreciated by the brazilian people trying to speak their own language. For a detailed list of useful words and phrases in Brazilian-Portuguese please check out our Travel Dictionary page. |
| Is it easy to meet Brazilians of the opposite sex? |

| What is the dress code at clubs? |
